Taurus Suns
The Taurus sign, represented by the Bull, was thought to be the God Zeus turning himself into a magnificent white bull to win the heart of the Phoenician princess Europa. Much like the myth, Taurus itself is ruled by the planet Venus and embodies luxury and sensuality.

As a sun sign, Taurus is down-to-earth, sensual, and finds comfort in the finer things in life. They desire emotional and physical security and can be extremely stubborn in holding strong to their desires. A sun sign in Taurus is earthy, natural, and always wants to present themselves in a good light. They can be extremely loving and loyal. Tauruses are pleasure seekers and will pursue their passion whether it is in their career or their romantic life.

Taurus, being an earth element knows how to be present more than the other signs. However, with all this passion and earthiness, Taurus can be extremely possessive and stubborn. Their anger is legendary and when they attack, they attack to kill. They can be overindulgent, even to their detriment, and can be extremely broody. As a fixed sign, they can be inflexible and won’t be rushed, thus, others can find them very frustrating to deal with. Overall, Taurus sun people are individuals who want to pursue the pleasures of life and can be extremely hard-working. They are careful and calculated but want to love and be loved. They can see things rationally and seek people who are down for them. In the end, you have an incredibly loving, passionate person ready to give all of themselves to you as long as you play by their rules.

Taurus Moons
The moon in Taurus is exalted and exemplifies self-care. A Taurus moon is down-to-earth, loving, sensual, and loyal. They know how to tend to emotions without being overly emotional. They are caretakers and providers. Taurus moons create sensual, comforting environments for themselves (think satin sheets, milk baths, and a roaring fire while laying on a fur rug). A Taurus moon knows how to relax. They are not the type to check work emails or answer the phone when they are "out of the office.” Taurus Moons are one of my fave placements— they know how to enjoy life and help you enjoy life with them.

What to Expect this Taurus Season:

The big Astro event this season was the Super Pink Moon on April 26th. Like all new moons, this moon is about releasing what isn't serving you and calling in what is. With this moon, in particular, it's about taking care of yourself. Now that we are in May, Taurus is hard-working energy. This is a great time to focus on tasks you've been putting off like deep cleaning your room or reorganizing your closet. On May 3rd, Mercury moved into Gemini, giving our communication skills a boost. You might find you are talking more and engaging in deeper conversations. Be careful though, you might find yourself over-thinking as well. On May 8th, Venus moves into Gemini, which will make you become a social butterfly. You will be more attracted to mental stimulation and personality than looks at this time. With this Gemini energy, the new moon in Taurus on May 11th will be a great time to set intentions and recharge by indulging in some new clothes or a delectable meal. Lastly, on May 13th, Jupiter moves into Pisces, which means meditate, walk in nature and get one with yourself. This will be a time to expand your mind, not through books, but through tapping into your intuition and getting to know yourself.

All in all, Taurus season is a time to work hard and then take care of yourself. Pay attention to what your body is telling you it needs and allow yourself to enjoy the finer things this month because the upcoming Gemini season is going to be a lot of chaos with eclipse season approaching. Use this time to recharge and relax and buckle up for what's to come.
